COVERS COLLECTION 9 The exhibition of LLEI D’ART covers merely intends to show the public a chronological selection of almost a decade based on taste . With this, I am making reference to the aesthetic experience caused by the initial contemplation, with the unlimitable desire to continue viewing the work for the pleasure of the senses. I am talking about the innate sense that is part of a human being’s personality and of a certain independence of judgement. And altough it is true that this, just like beauty or elegance, is a completely subjective concept, that sense which incorporates parts linked to naturality, exquisiteness, excellence or courtesy also is part of this. We could say that it is a quality closely linked to sensoral education and musicality. We must educate our tastes to help them develop and for this reason it is essential to cultivate sensitivity and to hone one’s appreciation of beauty, learning to enjoy sensorial perception and reaching the highest points possible within the scale of human quality. Technique, gesture, colour, composition, topic or style; all aspects that have lain themselves at the feet of taste. The artist’s back story and collections have not been important in the selection of their work. The result is an eclectic collection that we hope appeals to the visitor and allows us to feel the pride of being a part of their own process of honing their aesthetic experience.
