The Home es un espacio seguro para los agentes de cambio en Europa. A menudo ya tienen una conexión con la naturaleza o son sensibles a la cul- tura. La mayoría de la gente ama la belleza y el silencio que trae la natu- raleza. Creo que en el próximo año aumentará mucho la necesidad de conectarse y estar en la naturaleza. Creemos que el cambio más impor- tante en la sociedad vendrá de hacer nuestro trabajo interior. Creo que la causa raíz de nuestros problemas ambientales y sociales en el mundo proviene de la desconexión con uno mismo y la naturaleza. Reconectarnos con la naturaleza y nuestro interior es la forma de conectarnos con los luga- res donde vivimos y de crear confian- za y relación entre las personas con las que convivimos. ¿Qué cambio te gustaría ver en los próximos 15 o 20 años? Nuestro sueño es que el Valle de Muga se convierta en un caso de demostra- ción en Europa de cómo se puede transformar un valle en una sociedad regeneradora. En veinte años a partir de ahora, ima- ginamos un paisaje forestal saludable y resistente, próspero de la vida sil- vestre más asombrosa, y encontrará agua potable en los ríos. Las activi- dades de regeneración del paisaje y de las cuencas hidrográficas han ge- nerado empleo para la gente de los pueblos y han devuelto la vida a las calles. Las personas viven en armo- nía consigo mismas y con todos los demás seres vivos en las montañas y los bosques. Los empresarios y agri- cultores han creado una variedad de nuevos negocios regenerativos; los institutos de ciencia e investigación están monitoreando el progreso del bosque, la sociedad y la economía, la infraestructura pública ha regresado y celebramos anualmente el Festival del Valle de Muga. ¿Hasta qué punto es importante «re- cuperar» al poblador autóctono (ya se trate de personas, animales o plantas) para que unproyectode «renaturaliza- ción» sea factible? Estamos formando un círculo de sa- bios, para aprovechar la historia y la sabiduría de los ancianos de The Va- lley. Además, observamos qué ani- males y plantas son nativos de aquí y qué biodiversidad sobrevivirá aquí al proyectar las proyecciones climáticas al valle. You have created a regenerative farm in the middle of the forest where you spread the cultivation of wellbeing, self-care and respect from. Is it hard to get the concept and importance of learning environmental sensibility across? How do you approach it? The Home is a safe space for agents for change in Europe. They often al- ready have a connection to nature or are culturally sensitive. Most people love the beauty and silence that na- ture brings. I believe that in the com- ing year, the need to connect and be in nature will increase greatly. We be- lieve that the most important change in society will come from doing our inner work. I believe that the root cause of our environmental and social problems in the world comes from disconnection with self and nature. Reconnecting with nature and our in- ner selves is the way to connect with the places where we live and to build trust and a relationship between the people we live with. What change would you like to see in the next 15 to 20 years? Our dream is for the Muga Valley to become an exemplary case in Europe of how a valley can be transformed into a regenerative society. Twenty years from now, we envision a healthy and resilient forest landscape, thriving with the most amazing wild- life, where you will find clean water in the rivers. Landscape and water- course regeneration activities have generated employment for people in the towns and brought life back to the streets. People live in harmony with themselves and all other living things in the mountains and forests. Entre- preneurs and farmers have created a variety of new regenerative business- es; science and research institutes are monitoring the progress of the forest, society and economy, public infra- structure has returned, and we cele- brate the annual Muga Valley Festival. To what extent is it important to "re- cover" the settlers (be they people, animals or plants) for a “renaturali- sation” project to be feasible? We are forming a circle of sages, to draw on the history and wisdom of the elders of the valley. In addition, we look at what animals and plants are native to here and what biodiver- sity will survive here when projecting climate projections to the valley.
